Our roots

Judging by the roots, this once was a thriving tree.  No one knew what was underneath the surface--the challenges it dealt with or the pleasures in its growth over the years.  Isn't the same true of us?  Perhaps if we were turned inside out or upside down, nothing would be hidden.  Our true nature, all of it, would be apparent.

So, I've adorned this beautiful form with mirrored pieces and sparkles to honor the life it held.  And, the bird who made her nest on top of it is one more example that life goes on.
