"Puttin' up time"

This is the time for "puttin' up" so the annual freezing and canning of fruits and veggies are still steaming up the kitchen.

There were at least 6 or 7 turkeys pecking away under the bird feeder, living in the moment instead of squirreling away food like I am. When they heard me, they all looked up in unison and high-tailed it for the woods.  All that remained was another feather for the turkey collection.  Yea!

I continue to find more and more organic farms in the area so we are blessed with an abundance of healthy, home-grown fruits and vegetables in Michigan.  Come check it out.
